![]() for natural layer contrast, you can use lighter vertex color on upper layer meshes, and darker vertex color for layers underneath. blend with vertex color (predefined in hair meshes) for enhanced depth effect. with these potent effects you can easily create chic or stylized hair dye, create silky smooth hair reflections, simulate silver gray, or parched look and feel. Personally, I find that iClone is great for animation, but not as good as Daz Studio for stills.Creating a multitude of natural hair looks is possible with four powerful controls: ombr (root and end color), balayage (highlight color), base layer (vertex color), and reflection (flow map). ![]() As others have mentioned, they have recently released Character Creator 3, which will import Daz and other figures, and there is an iray plugin for rendering which will be integrated into iClone 7 later in the year. There is a demo version, so it costs nothing to take a look. For me, the only let down is that it doesn't recognise many of the Windows voices, so I had to record a lot of the dialogue instead of using typed dialogue. I also ended up using some of the included characters. At the time I got iClone 7 and 3DExchange 7 in a bundle, which allowed me to import some Daz characters and animate them for the talking head sequences. ![]() Finally, I decided to look again an iClone (I had iClone 4 from a fair while back, but never really got to grips with it).Īs others have said, iClone 7 means a financial outlay, but its speed for animation is fantastic. Daz could have done it, but with long render times in iray. I could have done it in Poser (as I did about 8 years ago), but I wanted better quality models. I took a look at Mimic Live which I had bought in a sale but hadn't downloaded, and decided that it wasn't suitable for the project in the time that I had. ![]() ![]() I had to revisit an old project for work earlier this year where I needed a lot of "Talking Head" type animations. ![]()
